"Wellbeing hotel"

I felt very comfortable here.A nice little hotel on the outskirts of Cologne, nice well-kept rooms, very friendly staff and owners. Rich breakfast, in short everything that invites you to feel good and linger. Not only friendly but warm. Thank you for that, come back very much.

Comfortable hotel close to the city

Very friendly hotel with clean rooms. The location of the hotel is very good, with the S-Bahn to Cologne city center in 12 minutes. Breakfast is very good. Highly recommended. We felt comfortable and would be happy to come back.

nice stay

It is a nice hotel where we felt at home. So we can recmmend the hotel for people who visit cologne. It was simple hotel but nice. clean sheets and plazma tv. There was also hot nice breakfast so felt really home at that price.

A Pleasant Surprise

I ended up having to be in Cologne during the ANUGA exhibition, and all hotels were booked. My client found us two rooms at the Hotel Wester, and considering that there were no other options, I didn't know what to expect.
The hotel is family run, and when I entered the lobby my eyes immediately focused on a table near the door with fashion magazines on it. I had a horrible experience at a Bed and Breakfast in Seattle many years ago where the owner was a compulsive hoarder of fashion magazines, so I got a little nervous.
Turns out I had absolutely nothing to worry about. My room was spacious and bright, with a smallish but perfectly serviceable bathroom. The room was clean and the shower had plenty of hot water (although as with other house/hotel arrangements, you had to be alert for rapid temperature changes). There was a flat screen television, and the Internet access, which was free, was more than adequate. The breakfast was good - about average for a European hotel, with the normal cereal, bread and cold cuts, but they also served hot scrambled eggs with meat (sausage one day, ham the next) and soft boiled eggs.
The hotel was above average, and the staff were wonderful. When we asked about a place to eat, the owner himself drove us to a nearby restaurant (which turned out to be wonderful as well).
Downsides? Well, the location could be better. There isn't much to do in the area, but it is a quick walk to the S Bahn station. There is no air conditioning in the room, although it wasn't needed. There is a radiator for when it gets cold, but I didn't need that either.

Eine Herzlichkeit die seinesgleichen sucht

Ich wurde sehr herzlich empfangen(sowas gibts in keinem anderen Hotel)! Das Hotelzimmer war sehr sauber. Wlan steht kostenfrei zur Verfügung. Bus und Bahnanbindung sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Frühstück ist reichhaltig und es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!
