This family-run hotel opposite the Ansbach Residence offers elegant, traditional rooms with free Wi-Fi. It is a few steps from the Hofgarten Park and a 5-minute walk from Ansbach Station.

Great location, beautifully appointed, and incredible service
Right between Ansbach Residenz and Orangery/Gardens. Beautiful antique-filled hotel with stunning rooms. I was willing to pay a little more for the charm. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I felt like I was at home! The service is incredible. They are friendly and efficient. Get the breakfast - it is fresh and as pleasing as the rest of the hotel. We had a key to the building, a key to our room, and a key to the gate so we could come and go by car as often as we needed to! Make sure you rent a tiny, tiny, car because while parking is free and incredibly convenient, the spaces and path to get there is very small. I really loved this place and didn't want to leave.

And yes, you are quite right about the parking: having free private parking right in the historic centre is wonderfully convenient, although the entrance to our courtyard does reflect the dimensions of an older building – a smaller car certainly makes the manoeuvre easier! But there is a big parking area in the near only €1,20 a day for the SUV's.

A lovely find.
Fabulous location, on the edge of the old city, great reception with room upgrade and a lovely breakfast. Very friendly and very happy to recommend this place. Yes, it is a little tired, but it was so nice and friendly that we really couldn't fault it. We'd definately stay here again.

Charming hotel in a busy square
The central location is great, but our room facing the busy square was very noisy. The room was also tiny and the air conditioning was just a portable unit with a hose through the window.
However, the building and especially the shady garden have a lot of charm, the service was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. Water, coffee, and tea are available free of charge in the entrance area.
There are several free hotel parking spaces in front of the hotel and behind the garden.

Honestly the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was available if you purchased it. Don’t expect a full spread of protein. If you’re on a higher floor and you have heavy luggage prepare for that. The room has a rotating floor fan and a separate mini ac unit but there wasn’t really a way to hook it up to the window in my room so it got pretty warm. Overall the place is located near the train station , short walk and if you are visiting folks in the military you aren’t getting any closer.

The Hotel Platengarten is within walking distance of the rail station and has many restaurants nearby. The host was exceptionally accommodating. Our room faced the main road and was very quiet and comfortable. We did not hear the traffic. Breakfast was available every morning with many options to choose from. We would stay again.
