Highly recommended
We found a quiet base for several day trips here. The apartment is beautifully located in the forest with views over the hills and to the volcano Llaima. You can hear and watch many birds. Adela and Helmut are very warm, open hosts, you almost feel part of the family, in the apartment (3 minutes from the main house) you still enjoy unrestricted privacy. Although we did not take advantage of Helmut's tour offer, we got many useful tips for our ventures. The apartment is very clean, bathroom and heating work perfectly, which is not always the case in South America. Stove and fridge are available, but we have almost always been pampered with breakfast and dinner in Adela's cafeteria, the cuisine is excellent and varied. We felt completely comfortable.

Wonderful experience
We had an amazing time at Adela & Helmut. It's remote location gave us the feeling of being in a very special, otherworldly place. The cabin is clean and nicely decorated. Helmut helped us a lot with all his advices and recommendations. On top of that, the food that Adela cooked for us was simply amazing. 10/10!

Perfect place for observing the starry sky
Very remote place with very supportive hosts. Adela is a very good chef; food is very tasty. Very good breakfast. Note, accomodation is 500 m away from main building. Our Llaima room was quite basic, but very clean with a nice bath room. After sunset there's no light around, so you can have a perfect view on the starry sky, if there are no clouds - breathtaking!
Very good place to discover the beautiful area, e.g. Conguillo NP. Helmut provides good insider tips or acts as a tour guide.
Room for improvement: Comfortable chairs or a couch, a king-or queen bed and a fridge instead of a very small kitchenette. Not to forget internet access.

Dear Dirk,
thanks for your positive comment. The problem with the room for improvement is: there is no room in the room for king- or queen beds. We offer fridges (additional costs) and I offered you my internet access, which is unfortunately, only Edge-technology. Our provider ENTEL is offering 4-G for about 3 years now, so we hope soon we might be able to offer a quick internet-conection to our guests. ("soon" sometimes needs its time in a developing-country)
We hope, next time staying with us you´re able to use a quicker internet-conection and still able to enjoy the beautiful southern star-sky.

Lovely stay with beautiful views from the accommodation
Very nice owners and lovely dinners served in their home each night.
Accommodation very good and had lovely views of the forests and volcano. The only reason we did not give it 5 stars was that it is advertised as self-catering but does not have a fridge. When we stayed it was quite warm and we really needed somewhere to keep food chilled.
Could not fault the experience though and well worth a stay.

Best Bed & Breakafast around Cunco Llaima Volcano area
Went for one night ,had excellent time , Adela & Helmut are the best ...nice couple , made us feel really at home . The house where we stayed was extremely clean , the food and wine we share with Helmut was superior . In the morning after " strong breakfast" we stayed in the terrace of the house just observing the birds signing and in looking the beatiful views , particulary the head of LLaima Volcano . If you want to know the area this is the place to be .
