Nice place to calm down

Great place to rest after 10 days round trip in Kenya. The team tried very hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible. A special thanks goes to the masseuse, whose treatment was highly recommended. All defects in the apartment were always remedied immediately. A short trip to Secret Beach, 7.2 km away was a highlight. The location is great and quiet.

Paradise!

We stayed in cottage B5 and B7. The pictures doesn't show how beautiful and unique this place is. The cottages are simple, spaceful and cozy. The outside areas and views are spectacular! The people who work at the place are all so nice, friendly, happy to talk with you and professional. Everyday there is a man who come with fresh fish for buying and a man with fresh fruits and vegetables as well. The monkeys and baboons visited a lot. Make sure you close the doors, they are little funny thiefs! You live right there between them in the nature. We would love to come back again!

A taste of paradise

A little taste of paradise. This is my second time coming here and I can honestly say I have never stayed somewhere where the staff are so accommodating, friendly and welcoming. The cottage I stayed in was spacious, clean and within minutes walk to the beach. The view of the beach is breathtaking and easily accessible from the cottage. The gardens within the grounds are maintained so well. John, Rhonda and Dorothy are lovely and so approachable for anything you need to ask. They remembered I was there before and definitely provided that personal touchnin staying at their accommodation. With travelling alone, it can be quite a daunting experience, but John and Rhonda made my stay feel so at ease and such a friendly experience. Needless to say I will be booking to stay here again soon.

That's bad. Search among dozens of other properties in the area.

These apartments are spacious, unnecessarily but spacious: 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room.
The garden is, I must admit, well maintained thanks to the good gardener.
Now I tell, but the photos perhaps make the idea better, that the main problem was being able to take a shower; taps, not even good for a landfill, open, after several laps, a small drip of water impossible to use to take a shower. To increase the water pressure you have to wait until it becomes hot enough to mix it with cold; but here comes the beauty: since the boiler switch is outside the apartment, the factotum in charge commanded by Mr. John, he turned it off to save electricity so the hot water was almost never there.
There are no windows, except in a room, so in case of rain and wind, it seemed to be outside the house even if you were inside. Obviously, in case of humidity (in that area in certain months there is a lot of it, the beds are damp; try to sleep in a damp bed and you will feel what an unpleasant feeling.
It sucks that an Englishman can rent ramshackle apartments in this way (see photos); the money, however, wants it good...
While before arriving, when we were still in Italy, Mr. John was, in fact, very present; he responded very quickly to my emails that I wrote to get information before departure then, when we arrived he did not even receive us. Nothing, not a glass of water, a greeting, nothing. In that apartment there was nothing, even toilet paper was of last choice, not even bottles of drinking water gave us for free. Nothing, really nothing, owners just suck money.
To mine, initially polite requests and underlinings made by email because Mr. John was never present, he replied that he would send someone to see; but to see what if everything is disaster! I don't know, maybe she was ashamed because her mother is really in charge.
The fact is that my repeated complaints to Mr. John did not like it and took the opportunity to tell us (via email and written letter left to his all to do because really cowardly person) that we would have done something welcome to leave their chalet. To make sense of their request they write that we had not been friendly with their staff (not true because I drank beers together) and that they did not respect the ban on feeding the countless monkeys on their property despite being told several times (not true, only once we were told and the same time we stopped). Of course I have a certain disgust for this person as disrespectful of the neighbor who accepts only because he is an easy source of income (he is not loved even by his employees who do not open up to him but with me yes) but I assure everyone who will read that it is absolutely a place to avoid; there are dozens and dozens of other facilities there in the area.
I forgot: the photos on the site absolutely do NOT reflect reality.

To anyone reading this review please note that this person has sent us a vile email calling us snooty English colonists (we are Irish), liars, stupid and cowards among other things. Anyone with intelligence can see the previous reviews. This racist person is annoyed because he was asked to leave our property, only the 2nd in 20 years. He disturbed our guests and upset our staff and told many lies. He is now harrassing us online having put this review also on google. Looking at the google reviews he has complained about everywhere he has been so very clearly has a problem. This review is from a person full of racism and hatred.
