Mount Ramelau – Officially called Tatamailau or Tata Mailau, Mount Ramelau is the highest mountain in the country and in all of Timor Island. Located in the district of Ainaro just south of the capital Dili, the mountain is also dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Mount Ramelau is the site of the annual pilgrimage that commemorates the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which happens in March. Pilgrims trek to the peak where a 9.8-foot high statue of the Virgin Mary is located.

Cristo Rei of Dili – Also known as Christ the King of Dili, Cristo Rei of Dili is a statue of Jesus that stands 88.6 feet high. The statue is located on top of a globe that is situated at the end of the Fatucama peninsula and faces the ocean. The statue was designed by Bolil or Mochamad Syailillah and was given by the Indonesian government to the people of East Timor. Visitors can reach the Cristo Rei of Dili by climbing around 500 steps.

East Timor has one main international airport – Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport (DIL) – serving the general population of the country. It was formerly known as Comoro Airport and it located in Dili, the country’ capital.
