This is Sao Paolo’s grandest boulevard, a long stretch of sleek skyscrapers and historic villas. Here you can find a wide array of shopping and dining options, as well as financial centers and museums. Avenida Paulista is generally regarded as the most expensive real estate in Latin America.


Pinacoteca do Estado

This museum is also not to be missed. Pinacoteca houses an impressive collection of Brazilian art, from 19th century paintings and sculpture, to Brazilian modernist artworks. The museum building itself and the surrounding gardens are also quite an attraction.


Museo de Futbol

Soccer fans will definitely enjoy visiting this museum located at Estadio Pacaembu, one of Sao Paolo’s largest soccer stadiums. The museum features vintage soccer displays, World Cup history and interactive exhibits dedicated to Brazilian soccer stars. It is very entertaining and full of memorabilia. 


Vila Madalena

Located in the western part of Sao Paolo, this neighborhood is known for its bustling nightlife with its many bars and restaurants. People come here for the live music, tapas and samba. Vila Madalena’s bohemian character is also seen in its art galleries, studios, bookstores and boutiques.


São Paulo has an excellent public transportation system. However, many of its attractions are clustered in certain neighborhoods, so it is easy to explore most sights on foot.

The Metrô is the easiest and fastest way to get around São Paulo. Buses are plentiful and frequent, but the city's sprawling layout can be quite daunting for tourists. When enjoying the city’s nightlife, it is recommended to take a taxi to and from your destination.

São Paulo/Guarulhos–Governador André Franco Montoro International Airport is the main international airport serving Sao Paolo, Brazil. The airport, more popularly known as GRU Airport, is located in the municipality of Guarulhos in Greater Sao Paolo. It is the busiest airport in Latin America by passenger traffic.Buses services are available from Guarulhos International Airport to various points in the city. The ride to the hotels in the Paulista district takes about one hour, depending on traffic.

Currently there is no rail service available but the Airport Express line is expected to be completed soon. There are also airport taxis that have fixed rates and bilingual drivers.
