Cheap Flights to American Samoa

American Samoa is an unincorporated territory of the United States that is located in the South Pacific Ocean, at the southeast of Samoa.

American Samoa is comprised of five main islands and two coral atolls. Tutuila is the largest and most populous island and Manuʻa Islands, Rose Atoll, and Swains Island are also included in the territory. Most people don't know where American Samoa is, but it is part of the Samoan Islands chain, that is located west of the Cook Islands, north of Tonga, and some 500km south of Tokelau.

American Samoa is also known to be the southernmost territory of the U.S. and one of two U.S. territories, including Jarvis Island. The territory exports tuna and tuna products where the main trading partner is the United States.

Leone Church - The Leone Church is located in the village of Leone, where it is the second-largest settlement on Tutuila and once served as the Polynesian capital of the island. The village was also the landing site of the first missionary, John Williams, who arrived on October 18, 1832. John Williams also imposed this church, which is the first one in American Samoa. There are actually two imposing churches in Leone and the head one has three towers and is facing the sea. The church is well maintained and has beautiful stained-glass windows, as well as some beautiful woodwork on the ceiling. A monument for Williams was made in front of the church.

Rainmaker Mountain - The rainmaker mountain is also known as the Mt. Pioa. This 523m-high Rainmaker Mountain is the reason why there are rain clouds that are trapped and gives Pago Pago Harbor the highest annual rainfall of any harbor in the world. From afar the mountain looks like it is a singular large peak, but a drive up to it using a Rainmaker Pass will reveal that the summit is actually three-pronged. The mountain and its base area were made into a national landmark site because of the nature of the tropical vegetation on the slopes.

Fagatogo Market - On a Friday night, this is the town's happening place, where the locals socialize, ransack food stalls, and browse for fresh produce. Saturday is a sign of a successful Friday night as everything would have been sold by then. This is where travelers are encouraged to go for culinary walks as the local food here is said to be really good.
