Surigao Airport does not operate any international flights. It does, however, have regular connections to the airports in Manila and Cebu, two of the major international airports in the Philippines. Both airports operate to various destinations in Asia, including Seoul, Busan, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Osaka, and Kota Kinabalu. The nearest is Hong Kong, which is great as almost any of the Hong Kong districts can be considered a tourist destination in itself. The main attractions though include the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Musem, Ocean Park Hong Kong, Hong Kong Art Musuem, Avenue of Stars, the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, and the Hong Kong International Hobby and Toy Musuem. The city is also known for its shopping and dining scene.
The main international airport in the Philippines, especially for long-haul destinations, is the airport serving Manila, which is the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It has direct connections to Sydney, Dubai, Addis Ababa, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Muscat, Honolulu, London, Vancouver, Sydney, New York, and several others. The city of Honolulu in Hawaii, USA, is the gateway to the islands' tourism industry. Attractions in and around Honolulu include Waikiki Beach, the USS Arizona Memorial, Diamond Head, Honolulu Museum of Art, Honolulu Zoo, and the Lyon Arboretum.
