Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport, better known as NAIA, is the main airport for international travellers to the Philippines. Managed by the Manila International Airport Authority, NAIA is located about 7km south of Manila proper. 

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport also serves as a hub for the two major airlines based in the Philippines. Cebu Pacific, the country's most popular low-cost carrier, is based on the grounds of NAIA Terminal 3. Philippine Airlines, on the other hand, is based on the grounds of NAIA Terminal 2.

Driving hide 

NAIA is located along the border between Pasay and Paranaque. Coming from EDSA, drive past Magallanes flyover and take the left ramp going towards Aurora Boulevard. Turn right when you reach the end of this road and turn left on the first junction (Domestic Road). Continue towards the end of this road and turn left. Head straight until you see the terminal ramps. You can drop-off passengers in designated areas in front of the departure gates.





Buses hide 

There is a shuttle bus going to all three terminals of NAIA. The shuttle bus station is located inside the terminal of Genesis Transport Services at EDSA corner Taft Avenue, Pasay Rotunda. It is at the back of Hotel Sogo. Fare is Php20 one-way. Make sure that you have enough time allowance since the bus driver will wait until the bus is completely filled up.


From NAIA Terminals 1, 2 and 3, the shuttle bus is located right in front of the Arrival Exit gate. 


Taxi hide 

Going to NAIA, you can either book a taxi (with added fees) or flag them down. From Quezon City to the airport, taxi fare is approximately Php300. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic conditions. If you are coming from the Makati Business District, taxi fare is about Php 200, and travel time is about half an hour. 


From NAIA, there are a couple of taxi options for arriving passengers. Airport taxis, which charge a fixed rate based on destination, are ideal if you are travelling  outside of Manila city center. You can opt for the yellow metered taxis if you are going to the city, however, do take note that it is more expensive than regular city taxis, with flagdown rate of Php100 (approximately USD 2) and charges Php4 (USD 0.10) for every 300 meters.
