Dubai Airport

This airport began as a mere piece of wasteland that was located about four kilometers outside the then city edge in 1960. Dubai International Airport has since grown into the giant it is today. Having almost 70 million passengers, of which about 60 million were international, passing through its doors in 2013. The new Concourse A that increased the airport’s capacity to 75 million, helped the airport to cope with the passenger volume.

This three-terminal airport serves over 140 airlines that serve passengers from more than 260 destinations across the globe. Terminal 1 serves most of the international airlines. Terminal 2 on the other hand serves airlines coming in from Iran and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries. Terminal 3 serves all Emirates flights and is an Emirates-exclusive terminal.

To move between terminals airside, Dubai International provides 24-hour shuttle bus service. If you wish to move between terminals landside, you have the Metro service to help you move about with ease.

Upon arrival, have your Visa information, clear customs, and collect your baggage. You will find a wide range of duty-free merchandise available to you if you missed out on any shopping on your way out or on your trip. On your way out of Dubai International, you will find the shopping area a shopaholic’s paradise. You will be able to fully indulge yourself with their wide range of products in their stores that are open 24 hours.
