US Airways was a major American airline that ceased to operate independently in April 2015. Its headquarters was located in Tempe, Arizona and it operated flights from its hubs at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Philadelphia International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

US Airways and American Airlines merged into one, under the American Airlines brand, becoming the largest airline in the world by fleet size and passengers carried. Before the merger, US Airways already had a wide domestic and international network with almost 193 destinations in 23 countries and four continents. It served these destinations with its large fleet of 343 large jet aircraft, as well as 278 regional jet and turbo-prop aircraft.

US Airways used to be a member of the Star Alliance, before becoming a part of the Oneworld Alliance in 2014. All member privileges of its frequent-flyer program, Dividend Miles, was officially transferred into American Airlines's AAdvantage program.
