Why Fly with LATAM Brasil?

Checking In Guide

Online check-in is available on the website – passengers will need to enter their reservation code and last name to retrieve their booking. Online check-in opens 72 hours before the departure time, and closes 2 hours and 45 minutes before departure for international and domestic flights respectively. An automatic check-in function is available for domestic flights within Brazil. With this, passengers just need to enter their reservation code and surname, click on the automatic check-in button, and check that their boarding pass has either been sent to them via email or SMS. Once at the airport, passengers with no checked baggage can proceed straight to the boarding gate, while passengers with checked baggage can bring these to the Bag Drop area. As an alternative to online check-in, passengers can also use self-check-in kiosks, which can be found next to the check-in counters at most major airports.

Seating Plan

LATAM Brasil has three seat classes – Premium Business Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class. Premium Business seats recline into a flat bed and there is a distance of 72-inches in between seats. Premium Economy seats are housed in a separate cabin from Economy Class, and the seats can be fully reclined as well. This class was designed with business travelers in mind – hence, the middle seats can be converted to a desk for laptop computers. Economy Class seats can be reclined slightly and have an adjustable headrest. All seats have plug sockets to charge your electronic devices.

Baggage Fees

As per international standards, all passengers are allowed to bring one carry-on suitcase (maximum weight of 8 kg in Economy and 16 kg in Premium Economy or Premium Business) and a personal item. For flights in and out of Brazil, the maximum weight of carry-on baggage for Economy Class passengers is 10 kg.

Checked baggage allowances differ based on your destination. For instance, for international flights between South America and Europe, Africa, or Oceania, Economy Class passengers have a baggage allowance of two 23 kg bags, and Premium Economy passengers have a baggage allowance of three 23 kg bags. The baggage allowances for Premium Economy and Premium Business are typically the same, but passengers are advised to check their flight itinerary for specific baggage allowances.

In Flight Entertainment and F&B

All international flights or Premium Business and Premium Economy Class passengers enjoy complimentary in-flight meals and drinks. Premium Business Class and Premium Economy passengers are offered a gourmet menu and wines curated by top chefs in South America. Economy Class passengers on international flights over 7 hours will be offered hot meals, which typically includes a main dish, fruit, and dessert. Passengers with dietary restrictions may also submit a request for a special meal by calling the Contact Center at least 24 hours before the flight. Do note that Economy Class passengers on domestic flights within South America will need to purchase food onboard the aircraft if needed. Only cash (in local currencies) and credit cards (Visa or Mastercard) are accepted on flights.

Individual TV screens are available on selected aircrafts, such as the Airbus 350, and the Boeing 767, 777, and 787. However, passengers on other aircrafts can also pre-download the LATAM Entertainment application on their electronic devices to enjoy all the entertainment options available. All Premium Business Class and Premium Economy Class seats are outfitted with large individual TV screens, with a selection of over 110 movies ranging from classics to the latest releases. There are also TV programs, music, and games available.
