Composed of 7,107 islands, the Republic of the Philippines is the second-largest archipelago in the world next to Indonesia. Located in Southeast Asia, it has an estimated population of 94 million. Majority of foreign nationals are allowed to travel within the country for up to 21 days without a visa provided their passports are valid for at least six months and they have onward tickets. The most frequently visited places in the Philippines are the capital city of Manila, Boracay beach, the summer capital city of Baguio, Corregidor Island, Cebu City, Davao City and the island province of Palawan. The months of December until May are the best time to visit the country, before the rainy season begins in June. Most major international airlines have flights to the Philippines and are using Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 as a hub. Philippine Airlines is the flagship airline in the country and has flights to the country from various points in Asia and the US. Cebu Pacific, the Philippines' leading budget airline, also has flights to the country from major airports in Asia. Apart from these two major airlines, SEAIR, AirPhilExpress, and Zest Air offer domestic flights to those who want to travel within the country.
