Lumbia Airport, more popularly known as Cagayan de Oro Airport, is a major domestic airport in the Philippines. It serves as a trunkline airport for the Northern Mindanao region, specifically serving Regions 10, 12 and 13 in the country. Located in Barangay Lumbia, it is the only airport in the province of Misamis Oriental. There is an average 500 monthly domestic flights to Cagayan de Oro airport. Lumbia Airport also serves as a minor air base of the Philippine Air Force. AirPhil Express and Cebu Pacific have daily flights from Cagayan de Oro to Manila, Davao and Cebu. Philippine Airlines and Zest Airways, on the other hand, have daily flights from Manila to Cagayan de Oro daily. To promote tourism and attract investments in Cagayan de Oro, this airport will be replaced by a bigger one that is being built in Laguindingan.
