The Mactan-Cebu International Airport, or simply Cebu International Airport, is located in Mactan Island in the province of Cebu, Philippines. It is the country's second primary gateway and serves as the southern hub of the air transportation of the Philipines. About 50% of the flight operations for the Cebu International Airport are commercial carriers while the rest are military aircraft and general aviation operations. Acting as a major trade center in the south of Philippines, the Cebu International Airport reported an average of 190 daily flight operations. According to the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority, passenger traffic has grown at an annual average of 19% for international flights and 6% for domestic flights. The airport also serves as a secondary hub of Cebu Pacific, the biggest low cost carrier operating in the Philippines.
