Cheap Flights From Qantas

Founded in 1920, Qantas Airways Limited, nicknamed “The Flying Kangaroo,” is Australia’s flag carrier and the largest Australian airline operating since. The name Qantas was originally an acronym for its registered name “Quensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services.” It is the world’s second-earliest airline in operation, and the oldest airline that continuously operates to date.

Based in Sydney, New South Wales, Qantas’ main hub is Sydney Airport. It serves more than 80 destinations in across 20 countries. An important recent development with Qantas is its partnership with Emirates. With the signing of the Commercial Agreement between the two leading airlines, Qantas will transfer its hub for European flights from Singapore to Dubai starting April 2013, so that Qantas flights bound to Europe will only have two stops instead of three or more.

The Qantas Frequent Flyer program, a subsidiary of Qantas Airways Ltd, offers a wide range of benefits to its more than 8.6 million Frequent Flyers, such as end-to-end recognition of customers, lounge access, priority check-in and boarding and more. Qantas’ other subsidiaries include Qantas Freight Enterprises. For Qantas airline tickets, explore Skyscanner’s flight listings and rates.
